Adding Rooms (Resources) to Google Calendar

Google Calendar has the ability to manage facility and room reservations for rooms (or resources) that have been set up by your Google administrator. Please note: users must be a member of the building in which they are trying to create a room reservation. If you are not a member of the building, please contact someone at that building to make your reservation.

To add Resource Calendars to your Google Calendar so that you can make room reservations, follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Browse Resources

Open Google Calendar and scroll to Other Calendars in your calendar list. Click on the plus (+) sign next to Other Calendars and then click Browse Resources.

Step 2 - Select Calendars

On the Resources page, select the calendars you would like added to your calendar list by clicking the checkbox next to each calendar. Your selected calendars will now show up on your calendar list.

Step 3 - Add an Event

As you create a new calendar event, use the drop-down list highlighted below to select which room calendar you would like to book. Your reservation will now be created on the Google Calendar for the room you selected.
