3CX Desktop App
Step 1: Log in to 3CX Web Client
Note: See this article for help logging into the 3CX Web Client.
While logged into the 3CX web application, you can install a native desktop application for Windows or Mac. The desktop app has all of the functionality of the web-based version, but the desktop app might be more convenient to keep minimized and running in the background on your computer.

Step 2: Click the Windows button under the notification bell
Step 3: Click Install to run the 3CX setup application. You may need to open the file that downloads if your browser does not open it automatically. When the application is finished installing, return to the screen above in your browser.
Step 4: Click Provision to finish configuring your 3CX desktop app.
Your 3CX desktop app will run in the background and consist of two windows: the 3CX application window and the dialer window. You can minimize both of these windows and they will continue to run in the background.
Dialer Window
You can make and receive phone calls from the dialer window just as you would from your desk phone. Note the drop-down arrow pictured below - this option will allow you to choose between making the call in the app and transferring it to your desk phone or making a call entirely within the app using the microphone and speakers on your computer.

3CX Window
From the 3CX window, you can quickly make calls to internal contacts, chat, see your call history, and check your voicemail. Note the red arrow pictured below - this button will show you additional options on the left side menu.

You simply click the phone icon next to the name to place a call to an internal contact. You can also start a chat by clicking the message icon or build a favorites list by clicking the star next to a contact.
