3CX Mobile App

The 3CX mobile app is available on all new iOS and Android versions and allows you to take your phone extension anywhere you travel.  By connecting to the mobile app, you can make a receive calls as if you were in your classroom or office.  The 3CX mobile app will work over wi-fi or cellular connections, but we do recommend connecting to the Staff Wi-Fi network if you use your personal phone at school.  See this article for assistance with joining your device to the network.

Step 1: Download the Mobile App

Step 2: Log in to the 3CX Web Client

Log into the 3CX Web Client with the link below and log in with your username and password or Google SSO:

Access your unique QR Code from the top right menu :

This QR code is generated specifically for your account and should not be shared or forwarded to others.  If another person scans your QR code, they can make calls from your extension and receive your calls.

Step 3: Scan the QR Code from the 3CX Web Client

Contact Lists

You may see a similar message to the one pictured below after clicking on the Contacts tab of the 3CX app.  We recommend choosing "Don't Allow" and keeping your personal contacts separate from your 3CX contact list.  By mixing the two contact lists, you may inadvertently call personal contacts from your work extension.

Additional Settings

We recommend going into the 3CX app Settings page and ensuring that the option "Divert emergency numbers to the GSM dialer" is enabled.  By enabling this option, emergency calls will go through your phone dialer and display your name and number to emergency services along with appropriate E-911 details.

We also recommend disabling the option "Integrate with device recents" to keep your personal recent call list and your 3CX recent call list separate.
